welcome to the corner ✿

A little corner
of Carmel.

A storybook cottage on Dolores & Sixth, where the coffee's been warm and the patio full since 1948. Come as you are — the table's set.

Seventy-five years on the same friendly corner

Tucked into the storybook lanes of Carmel-by-the-Sea — where the cottages have names instead of numbers — Village Corner has poured the morning coffee and set the evening table since 1948. Locals mark the years by it; travelers find it once and return for a lifetime.

Ours is honest California-Mediterranean cooking: fish off the Monterey coast, prime steaks, wild-foraged mushrooms, and a brunch worth crossing the peninsula for — served on a patio wrapped in vines and warmed by a fire when the fog rolls in.

— Where Carmel comes to linger.

The Corner Booth, where Carmel's storytellers gathered

For decades, one booth belonged to the town's most beloved pen-and-ink men — sketchpads out, coffee strong — turning a neighborhood breakfast into Carmel legend.

The napkins are long gone. The welcome is exactly the same.

The Secret Garden Patio

Brick underfoot, bougainvillea overhead, and a fire-pit table glowing at the center of it all. Our heated, covered patio is where Carmel slows down — over a late brunch, a shared bottle, or a quiet coffee with the dog at your feet.
